I know. I don't want to hear it.

I've just found myself with a lot more alone time and a lot less to fill it (it's a long story and I'd rather not discuss it in front of the whole Internet), so I figured I might as well do something constructive with it.

So if you'd like to keep up with the latest exciting news from me (haw haw), you'll need to go to kentachibana.com from now on. There's not much to see yet. In fact, there's nothing at all to see yet. I'm tinkering with a WordPress blog over there and there seems to be some magic doodad that will import everything from another blog, so I used it to vacuum up all the posts from this blog. Yes, all three of them.

On the bright side, I guess this means I might get the new book done sooner.

As they say on the Internet:

When you see it, you'll... well, you know. Most of it is really fairly harmless. The rest of it, as long as you treat it with respect, usually won't hurt you.

The other question I get asked all the time: "does anything really scare you?" The answer to which I've just had to change from "eh, not really" to "oh God yes."

There's been a hive of, for lack of a better word, fangirls on Japan's end of the Internet since--I guess about my second book or so. And I'm sure they're all wonderful, sweet, intelligent young ladies and all... but there's something kind of unsettling about a link e-mailed to you by a high school friend leading to a fan comic about you.

It's G-rated, thank God. And actually, it's kind of cute. Actually, it's really cute. It's just ...kind of weird.

So, thanks? I think.

In related news: if you have gotten your hands on some knick-knack that seems to be horribly cursed or haunted or otherwise Wrong and decide you should send it to me, please warn me via e-mail first. I'm glad you're sending them to me instead of trying to, I don't know, throw holy water on them yourself. But I would really appreciate some heads-up if you're going to send me something that will make my walls bleed or whatever. Thanks!

Pardon my dust.

I just moved to a new house in the real world. Now I'm moving to a new house on the Internet. Funny how that works. I just hope this move goes smoother than the real-world one. God, don't even ask.

Call me dense, but I had no idea Mardi Gras was a big thing here too. I'll have to carve an evening out of my busy schedule (har) to check that out. I've been to Galveston a few times since I moved down here, but I think maybe it'd be nice to see a part of Galveston that's not made of sand and jellyfish.

Speaking of my busy schedule, it might get busier (or at least better-funded) soon; I've been talking to some people about some things.
